ABB TU810V1 Module Termination Unit (MTU)

The ABB TU810V1 is a compact module termination unit (MTU) for the S800 I/O. It has 16 channels and operates at 50V. The MTU connects field wiring to the I/O modules and contains a part of the ModuleBus. It distributes the ModuleBus to the I/O module and to the next MTU.

Key features include compact installation of I/O modules using one-wire connections. It has up to 16 channels of field signals and process power connections. Connections to ModuleBus and I/O modules are also present. Mechanical keying prevents the insertion of the wrong I/O module. It also has a latching device to DIN rail for grounding.

The MTU generates the correct address to the I/O module by shifting the outgoing position signals to the next MTU. Two mechanical keys configure the MTU for different types of I/O modules. This configuration is mechanical and does not affect the functionality of the MTU or the I/O module.

The TU810V1 is compatible with a wide range of I/O modules. It has a maximum current per I/O channel of 2A and a maximum current process connection of 5A. It operates in temperatures from 0 to +55 °C.
