The BACHMANN ISI222 module is designed especially for advanced motion control applications, offering a combination of compact equipment and optimal precision. It is equipped for controlling two motion axes, and it includes various encoder interfaces for acquiring positions, analog outputs for manipulating variables, and digital inputs for initiators or triggers. Additionally, due to the central communication concept, it can incorporate all I/Os of the rest of the M1 system into motion control (e.g., limit switches). It supports input frequencies up to 8 MHz and features integrated synchronization (IO-Bus-Sync) with the entire system for highly dynamic and precise movements.

In addition to full compatibility with well-established controller modules like M-SMC, M-CNC, and M-SHAFT, users can utilize the extensive integrated functions of the module for their own programs and custom control tasks through the familiar standard interfaces (SVI, MIO). The module includes comprehensive integrated error monitoring, continuously checking encoder resolution to identify subtle wiring or ESD issues, making it suitable for operation in challenging environmental conditions.
