Emerson EPRO A6371/00 Overspeed Protection Backplane

The EPRO A6371/00 is an Overspeed Protection Backplane, part of the AMS 6300 SIS Overspeed protection system. It fits in a 19” rack with 84HP width and 3RU height. One backplane can install up to three A6370 Overspeed protection monitors.

The A6371/00 provides safety outputs through trip relays located on the backplane. It offers two different trip logic concepts, “Trip Voted” and “Trip Not Voted”, to provide connectivity to most common trip solutions.

The A6371/00 is used in the AMS 6300 SIS Overspeed protection system for rotating machinery such as turbines, compressors, and pumps. It protects equipment from overspeed conditions and detects reverse rotation during startup. The system works with eddy current sensors and preamplifiers. It provides maximum safety and availability for the monitored machines through its three-channel design. The system also has extended fault detection capabilities.
