The EPRO PR6423/291-110 Eddy Current Sensor, paired with a signal converter CON, forms an oscillator circuit. The proximity of a metallic object in front of the transducer causes the amplitude of oscillation to decrease, and the extent of this decrease is directly related to the distance between the transducer and the object being measured. Both the transducer and converter come pre-adjusted, eliminating the need for on-site calibration. Simply adjust the gap between the transducer and the object to achieve the desired signal at the converter output.
