The T8805 provides a reliable interface between the ICS Triplex Trusted TMR Safety System and the field devices. It has 4 digital input channels, each of which can be configured as normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contacts.
The T8805 uses Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) to achieve high availability and reliability. TMR is a fault-tolerant architecture that uses three identical modules to perform the same task. The results of the three modules are then compared and the majority result is used as the output. This means that even if one module fails, the system can continue to operate correctly.
