The Yokogawa AAM21-S2 is an analog input module designed for use in Yokogawa's CENTUM CS 1000/3000 control systems. It is an input/output (I/O) module that allows you to connect field devices like transmitters and valve positioners to your control system using a standard 4-20 mA current loop. This module also supports the HART communication protocol, which enables you to remotely configure and diagnose connected HART-enabled devices.
The AAM21-S2 can handle up to 16 HART devices and can read up to 32 HART variables. These variables can be treated as standard process input data within your control system.
